The Christian Mission of Ban Naratchakwai started as an independent mission operation in about 2002 and became affiliated with the Advent Christian Denomination shortly thereafter. The Mission is located in the small village of Naratchakwai which is located about 8 km from Nakhon Phanom, the capital city of Nakhon Phanom Province.
They are presently the only Advent Christian operation in Thailand.
The mission currently has 10 active members. The majority of their support comes from outside Advent Christian U.S. sources.
Current facilities include a worship center, dining area, kitchen and dormitory facility with classrooms. Recently installed electricity and water make the facility self-contained.
The mission’s work includes teaching English as a second language, delivering ‘Soup of Love’ once a month to nearby villages; providing senior citizen food assistance; student tuition and scholarship assistance; an active youth program on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; adult, youth and children’s Bible Study classes; English and Bible camps during the year — both at the mission and in village schools.
They are also involved in demonstration projects for food raising, animal raising and fish raising for villagers. They are active in participating in village functions to support children, seniors and the poor of our surrounding 11 villages through participation in Samaritan’s Purse, Mother’s Day, Senior’s Day, Queen’s Birthday, Children’s Day and other functions.
