The annual north-east monsoon is causing considerable flooding across metropolitan Chennai at present. The city needs the rain from the monsoon to fill its water storage lakes in time for their summer, but it doesn’t need the flooding which often occurs when the torrential rains come over a short period!
At times such as this, Pastor Paul Nilivan’s team at the ADDRES Centre – Alcohol Drug De-addiction Educational Service Centre – are out on the streets in their area bringing food parcels and other relief to the poor and underprivileged, often those who live on the streets – all in the Name of Jesus.
Please pray that the Lord will provide resources to enable this ministry to continue, and that the Holy Spirit will touch the hearts of those to whom they minister with Christian care and compassion.
