CHRISTIAN MISSION NARATCHAKWAI, THAILAND
July 5, 2021
Greetings from Thailand,
We would like to tell you about our situation in Thailand.
The church has been closed since the 18th of April 2021 because of a new surge of Covid-19 in the country. We planned to open the church again on Sunday 6th of June 2021 but we couldn’t. We changed our plan to open the church on the 20th of June 2021 and that was the first Sunday that we could worship together at Christian Mission after it had been closed for a few months. Then the church had to be closed again because the situation in Nakhon Phanom is getting worse.
One of the student teachers from the English major class who is doing their student teaching experience in Sribuaban School got Covid-19. Most of our members and students are studying in this school, although they studied online but she contacted with the students by giving books to the students and went to work in the school. The students and teachers in the school have to quarantine. Our church has to continue to be closed. Please pray for us.
While the church is closed, we have not stopped praying, we use an online application to do a video call every Sunday to meet and greet and pray together. We are happy to know that everybody is fine but we are sad that our brothers and sisters in Christ are experiencing a lot of problems in each country. We are praying hard for all of you. We pray that everything will be better than before.
Thank you for your prayer about the new laptop. Thank you for the funds from ACMissioNZ and everybody for the prayers. At the first try we missed the one that we had looked at in the shop in Nakhon Phanom so we got another one from a shop in Udon Thani province because there were only two left in Thailand. Now there is only one left. This laptop is a very good buy at this price so it will be sold out soon. Thank God that we got one. We got a backpack, a wireless mouse, a mouse pad and a cooler pad for free. Thank God about this.
