Pastor T recently wrote to tell us that he and his family and his church members gathered on Sunday 16 May to celebrate 21 years of service for the Lord.
He named his ministry the Advent Christian Church of Myanmar, after reading a booklet produced by the Advent Christian General Conference of America – This We Believe - which he found on the shelves of the library of the Bible college at which he studied. After getting a friend to translate the booklet into his language, he read it carefully and as he studied its words he became convinced that it set out the Biblical truth of Man’s nature and destiny.
He wrote…
“My family came to Yangon for Christ’s mission on 16 May 2000, so my family had a thanksgiving service on Sunday 16 May 2021 to celebrate 21 years in mission.”
He went on to say…
“I praise God and thank you a lot. You and your fellow workers and Advent people in New Zealand involve in Myanmar mission *many years ago. Thank you bro Ernie, you pray for us all the time. We also pray for you.
We have two Governments, junta gov and democracy gov. We are moving to civil war day by day. All children have no education {from} two years ago (covid, military coup).”
He also sent the picture to the right of a few of the orphan children he cares for. The children always seem to have a smile on their faces! Please pray for Pastor T and his wife and the 72 orphan and underprivileged children his organisation cares for.
*Since 2004 in fact.
