In mid-January Pastor Timothy wrote to us seeking help with security problems they had had at their home, where they have a separate, relatively new building housing the orphans/disadvantaged children who they care for. He wrote…
“Unfortunately, the thief entered to our children girls room from their window and took away two phones last Saturday night 2:30 am. Many months ago the thief took away our motorcycle. We need safe and good security life in this covid times. So we need 700us for fence and gate. Please pray for us.”
We prayed and made the need known and because of a gift from a generous donor, were able to send him some funds in late January.
Pastor Timothy has recently sent us some pictures of the new fence and gates, which include some of the children he cares for and his wife Hoi Vang.
Please pray that these additions will keep his compound and property and people secure.
At the other end of the scale of happenings, Pastor Timothy was also able to tell us that on Saturday 20 January they had the joy of baptizing six persons and sent pictures of two of them.
Please thank the Lord for these six new members of God’s great, worldwide family and pray that they will grow in grace and the knowledge of their Saviour and Lord.
Pastor Timothy also asks for our prayers for his country, presently under martial law after the army seized control following a recent election. He advised that “his family, church members and ACCM (Advent Christian Conference of Myanmar) are fine.” but asks that we “Pray for our family, church members daily food.” – he had indicated some time ago that food prices had already risen by then by 10%.
