Pastor Joseph, the leader of The Word Mission, pictured with his family, recently sent the following report in respect to their ministry in 2020.
“Praise the Lord and Prayer (2020 Year)
Praise the Lord for this 2020 year.
I thank the Lord for His faithfulness in The Word Mission throughout the year of 2020. We could see some healings, signs and provisions when we prayed for the people who were in need during 2020 year. Therefore, we are grateful for your regular prayer, love and help for the ministry of the Gospel in Myanmar.
- 20 children were getting sick day by day, but we prayed for their healing. And praise be the Lord, they were now well. All glory to God.
- One of the children was having terrible pain in the heart. This continued for over three years. We prayed for her healing and deliverance. And praise be to God, she was healed from heart pain. All glory to God.
- In 2020 years, we reached 25 unreached children and they are from Shan State, Rakhine State.
- Most children are from Buddhism and those who believe in demons as their gods.
- Most of the children are coming from where big fighting is going on.
- As we prayed, through the children we can reach or bring many souls to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Over 20 years, we do church planting, but we could see little fruits, but through the children, we see many fruits for the ministry.
- Praise the Lord; we have 20 new children to be baptized before the end of the 2020 year.
Prayer requests for 2021 goals and plans.
- Please pray for Dinner Hall for orphans to be built in 2021.
- Please pray that God will meet 70 unreached children in 2021.
- Please pray for us as we are reaching the children, we need your prayer support.
- Reopen Bible school in where we live. This Bible teaching will be only to orphans, those who we care for.
2020 has been deemed calamitous due to covid-19. We worked from home from April to November.
Covid-19 killed our dreams and plans.
We pray that you may welcome 2021 with faith, hope, and love, passing this disastrous year.

In respect to Covid-19 Joseph wrote…
“In Yangon area COVID-19 is so strong and we might stay at home till January 31, 2021 according to government officials.”
Please pray for Pastor Joseph and his team and for the other three pastors of the Advent Christian Conference of Myanmar, asking the Lord to keep them and the children they care for safe from Covid, and that their ministry of the Gospel will not be unduly hampered.
