Pastor Roy Rocha, leader of the New Life Christian Ministry in the Novaliches District in Metro Manila has written about a gathering of their members held last month at a “special place” to celebrate “special occasions” with the members of their congregation. He wrote…
“We thank God for all ACMissioNZ’s help and support. Keep praying for that we can make the second floor {see below} so we can transfer. It needs more funding to make it liveable for me but most especially for Llerma.
More Praise items: Llerma and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this coming July 7, we will do our renewing of vows. So, it is a kind of special Sunday for aside from our 25th anniversary it will also be the church’s 9th Cellgroup Anniversary. It will be held in a resort for there are 9 candidates for baptism.”
He later wrote…
“I praise God for the success of our Cellgroup anniversary, our 25th wedding anniversary, and the baptisms. It was really meaningful.
It was a celebration of God’s faithfulness (through the 9 years), love (for our wedding anniversary) and commitment (those who are baptised).
The Cellgroup 9th anniversary displayed the unity and cooperation among members in their respective cells. I taught the church of being One in Mind, One Heart, and One Purpose (Phil. 2:1-5) As pastor it is very encouraging to see your congregation in UNITY.
On our part of wedding anniversary, it was emotional renewal (even if it had not expired) of our vows. It was very touching and encouraging on the part of the congregation as they commented to us that they really saw the real meaning of love. One of our intents in pursuing our renewal of vows was to promote that marriage was instituted and initiated by God and is it sacred for man and woman only. As you know that there is a strong clamour from the LGBT community to pass a bill in the congress legalizing same sex marriage.
And last is the baptism, there were 9 individuals who committed their lives to the Lord Jesus. it was great specially for one person who is known for drug addiction and as an abusive husband, that finally he committed his life to the Lord.
So thank you for your prayers and support.
In Christ,
Roy Rocha

The Takanini Community Church Property Trust recently assisted them to purchase a home, relatively near their church building, but which is well above the flood level, to which the cyclones which regularly hit that part of the country have brought flooding to the property in which they have been living for many years. Some years they have several floods which have brought thigh deep water through their home during the cyclone season. The new property had to have significant alterations made to make it easy for Roy’s wife Llerma, who walks with crutches all the time, to have easy access from the street and within the house. Even as they have been carrying out these renovations, they have had three floods through their old home!

Please pray that they may be able to complete the renovations quickly and move into their new, flood-free home.
