Christ Special High School at Sangkarapuram, which is about six hours drive to the south-west of Chennai, has a wonderful ministry as it gives a Christian home and good education and specialised treatments where appropriate, to children who would otherwise literally be “on the streets” of the towns and villages in the area. They provide a Christian home, education and training to children who are physically and/or intellectually handicapped, and to some who have hearing difficulties. The dedicated team of teachers, helpers and therapists, led by Pastor Paul Nilivan, who lives in Chennai and commutes each week to Sankarapuram, show wonderful compassion and love to the children, giving them a good education and training to enable them to earn their living when they leave the school, but above all they point them to their Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ as they do so. Yesuway Jeevan Mission supports the school financially each month and our funds are used to provide the children with toiletries and other personal hygiene needs.
Each year, during the summer school break, the children enjoy sessions of Vacation Bible School and sessions of teaching and training in various skills and handicrafts. They call this three-day session their VOCATIONAL BIBLE SCHOOL!!

On 12th July 2019 to 14th July 2019 the VBS, Handicrafts & Tailoring & Catering training conducted by the team Mrs. Rajam, Usha Morris & Samuel Morris. The children learnt action songs, Bible memory verses, Bible stories in the VBS. In catering, tailoring & handicrafts the students were very much interested and involved in such a way – it was amazing. We want to thank our God and our sponsors and our trainers.
