Emmanuel’s School in the city of Chandel, in the north-eastern Indian State of Manipur, is a school which caters for approximately 450 students, in classes ranging from Lower Kindergarten to Standard 10, taught by 18 teachers. About half of the students’ homes are 60 to 80 kms from the school and they live in a hostel at the school, whilst the others travel daily to school. The owner and Principal of the school is Thirumathi (Mrs) Roselle Monsang and she is ably assisted by her brother, Thiru (Mr) Love Monsang.YJM is able to send a small amount of funds each month to assist the school with expenses, and occasionally receives special donations from overseas for them.
Brother Monsang recently wrote the following letter of appreciation after receiving a special donation.
“Dear Br. Immanuel,
We would like to inform you that Rs.70,000 has been credited to the school A/C. We thank you very much and all the persons associated with you to support this school, friends from New Zealand, and Bosworth and we are looking forward towards you all for the school to progress along with your support in prayer and assistance.
Children are almost completing their Promotion Exam, 2017 and the school will be closed soon & pray to God for a more promising New Academic Session in 2018. At present, the school building is the main concern for all of us. May our almighty God guide us all.
We extend to you all the best compliments of the Christmas and a brighter-promising New Year, 2018.
With regards,
School Managing Committee,
Emmanuel’s School & Childrens Home Institute.”
Please pray regularly for this school, its staff and the children who attend. As well as getting a good education, all the children are taught daily about the love of Jesus Christ, and His sacrifice for them.
Pray that the Lord will provide for the maintenance and replacement of their buildings.
