Pastor Roy Rocha recently reported as follows….
“NEW LIFE in CHRIST MINISTRY: UPDATE
The photo above is some of the basketball players who are participating to our basketball evangelistic team. Basketball is well known sport in our country. As Grant Aldridge commented “whenever two or three houses together there is a basketball court in the midst”.
Since we launch this activity in middle October, 6 teams are now competing every Sunday. Each team are a combination of believers and unbelievers in 12 player team. The believers are ushering the unbelievers to attend our church services and Bible studies. As a result, just this week, there are 15 out of 32 players accepted the Lord Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior and are now attending our Baptismal Class. Please pray that these players will continue to understand the purpose of baptism and will totally commit their lives to become followers of Jesus Christ. Our Baptism date is on December 27, Sunday right after church service. Also pray for this coming two Sundays, December 13 and December 20, as we play in a bigger venue, a covered court. At this time it will not be only basketball for there will be dance presentation from our young people. May our Lord’s name be lifted up during these activities. For we believe that whenever the name of Jesus is honoured, He will draw men unto Him.
Another thing I do like to share is that our church is now fully recognized by our local government. It is a good thing because we can now have a voice to the council in implementing the local government’s projects both in infrastructure and values development in our community.
Sometime in November, we had a great night of prayer as we prayed for our cell-group leaders. It was a meaningful event most especially to the leaders since it was their first time to be prayed over and after they also laid their hands on their assistant leaders. It was encouraging, empowering, and edifying moment as they began to exercise their spiritual authority. (picture right)
On December 20, we will be praying for the youth officers to become more passionate in their relationship with their Savior and become strong in their discipleship.
Some of our December activities that you may include in your prayer:
1. NLCM Christmas party on Dec. 24 at 8:00 pm.
2. Word Class Fellowship, Dec. 18 at 6:00 pm.
3. Baptism on Dec. 27 at 9:00 am.
4. NLCM Planning for 2016, Dec. 28 whole day
5. Year-end prayer, Dec. 30 at 8:00 pm.
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers! Merry Christmas to all of you!
In Christ, “
