THAILAND | Christian Mission Naratchakwai

October 13, 2015 Filed Under: Newsletters, Newsletters | Thailand

Thailand TagMinistry continues at Christian Mission. Ploy, who leads the team of young ladies posts regularly on the Christian Mission Facebook page –
www.facebook.com/Christianmission-189919524539566

Please sign on regularly and pray for the activities and ministries and for the leadership team.

The most recent picture of the leadership team posted is below – left to right: Pastor Boontaa, Maeo, Ploy, Lita, Job, Kaew, Parn and EubEib.image001 Ploy commented as she posted the picture:  “… our leaders. Thank you for prayers that you pray for us. Our work is good and great now. We are very happy to do God’s work.”

October 4 was “Communion Sunday” – Parn (picture below at left) led the worship part of the service and Pastor Boontaa preached and led communion.

After the service and the lunch (Picture below left) Ploy conducted an English class for the teenagers (below right)

A meeting of the leadership committee of the “denomination”- the Christ for All People Churches Association – was held at the Kusuman Church on Monday 5 October, with Christian Mission represented by Pastor Boontaa and Maeo, for fellowship, prayer and a meal together.

On Friday 9 October the monthly scholarship funds provided by the TLCB (Thai, Laos Cambodia Brotherhood), an organisation of United States veterans who were involved in these countries with the United States armed services during the Vietnam War, were distributed by Maeo to 21 elementary, high school and university students. Although this is not a ministry of Christian Mission, John Middlewood was the local representative for this organisation, having served in the army at an army hospital at Nakhon Phanom during the war, and was instrumental in distributing TCLB funds to provide much needed facilities at many schools and kindergartens as well as providing scholarship assistance for many children and young people who without this assistance may not be able to obtain good education. Maeo has been asked to continue this responsibility and of course it continues to give her and Christian Mission contact with many schools, teachers and children and young people.

Some of the recipients are pictured. Maeo commented… ”Thank you TLCB for the scholarships. We all are having a good chance from you. We appreciate you that you work for us and help us for a long time.”

On Sunday 11 October, Ploy commented as she posted pictures of the service… “Thank you God for sending us here again!”
Clockwise below from top left: the congregation; Sunday School for the children; fun and fellowship around the meal table, a special song from Pastor Boontaa, his wife Phon and their daughter Bow; and an item in song from the young ladies.
