Please continue to pray for the people of Myanmar, and especially members of the churches of the Advent Christian Conference of Myanmar.
Although the torrential rain has stopped, many in and around Yangon and in the western States and Divisions are still facing harrowing difficulties.
Pastor Timothy has just returned from a further visit to the Chin State and the Sagaing Division and has written as follows…
“While I was in Kalay 27 Aug night, the flooding of Mitha river destroyed some villages of Chin State and Sagaing Division. Hakhalay in the Chin State (pictured right) had 69 houses but the flood destroyed 60 houses. Natnaan Village in Kalay District in the Sagaing Division had 90 houses but the flood destroyed 48 homes. 20 people were lost. Please pray for these homeless people.”
He went on to say that he had learned that the New Zealand football (soccer) team – the ALL WHITES – was currently in Myanmar and was to play the Myanmar team at 6pm on Monday 7th September to raise funds to assist flood victims. Go the All Whites!!
Pastor David also wrote this week…
“Greetings in the name of Jesus and please continue praying for our country. Our people face problems and difficulties in their life. Thank you for your prayer for us.”
