John Middlewood fell asleep in the Lord on the 21st November.
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
Come Lord Jesus!
Please pray that Lord will be the refuge and strength, and a very present help in this time of trouble for all those who loved John and who now grieve. Pray especially for Maeo.
Pray also for Ernie Schache who has/is travelling to Thailand.
I was greatly blessed to fellowship and work with John and Maeo in 2012 as part of a short term mission team. We continued our fellowship by email: he kept up with my family and news when we corresponded whenever he sent a newsletter for me to add to this and his website.
John had a passion and a drive for the Lord that I greatly admired. When most of us would be content to retire, he continued to serve the Lord with all his strength. He was a humble man who knew his dependent on His Lord. He shared his love of the Lord and his journey as a disciple with all those around him. He was a faithful prayer warrior who I entrusted with many requests. I have lost a friend and a brother.
