Sunday 9 November was a busy day for India Missionary and Mission Manager Immanuel. He visited the Fellowship of Blessed Hope Church at Ramapuram, a southern suburb of Chennai, to deliver the address at their early morning (7.30 am) service. Many churches in India have their morning service very early in the morning to allow those who need to to attend their jobs – many jobs in India are 7 day a week jobs!
The pastor at Ramapuram is Rev D Solomon Rajan (pictured at front below left). The church has around 80 members from 33 families – on the 9th about 50 members attended. Immanuel’s address was titled “Look at the Birds” based on Matthew 6: 25 – 34
After the service at Ramapuram, he travelled to the suburb of Kottur to the Advent Christian Conference of India’s church there.
The Kottur church has about 150 members from 45 families and is pastored by Pastor Arulraj. The Area Pastor, who was present at the service, is Rev Emmanuel Bakthasingh. The service was their annual Harvest Festival service as well as a baptismal service and Immanuel had the joy of presenting new Bibles to the seven members who were baptised. The Area Pastor had also chosen Matthew 6: 25 – 34 as the basis of his address to the congregation!
Please pray for these churches, their pastors and their ministries. Please pray especially for the seven who were baptised at Kottur, asking the Lord that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge and service of their Lord.
