MYANMAR – Pastor J’s outreach to tribal people in the Shan State

August 7, 2014 Filed Under: Newsletters, Newsletters | Myanmar, Pastor J's newsletter

Some weeks ago Pastor J and his team returned from a 30 day outreach trip to tribal areas of the Shan State.

His report and just a few of the many pictures he sent are set out below. (Scroll down the page for the captioned photos)
Will you please uphold  Pastor J and his organisation – The Word Mission – and their ministries in prayer?

“Report for outreach

We started out trip to Shan state on 1March, 2014 and it ended on 30 March 2014. I am excited to report you about how the Lord of God moving on unreached peoples groups of Akham, Lahu and Inh. The trip was blessed and fruit by God.

 1. How to go there

We go to Shan State by air and car. And after we go by motorcycle and then walk where motorcycle cannot go there. We cross mountain, hilly and jungle then we reach where unreached people lives.

2. How to do outreach

We do outreach from village to village and preach the Word of God after house to house and then person to person. And we had Bible studies at night.

3. How the Holy Ghost was moving

By God’s power we reached Inh, lahu and Akham people for the Lord. We were very blessed with the hunger and thirst of these people for the Word of God.

4. Praise the Lord with us

  1. we did teach Bible in Inh , Lahu and Akahm villages.
  2. 7 people converted
  3. some people get healing by the power of the Holy Ghost.
  4. we had reached 3 village of Lahuand 3 village of Akham and one village of Inh.
  5. we have been given 2000 gospel tracts to the people of Lahu, Akahm, Shan, PaOo, Paloung and

5. Hindrance for the gospel

Some Christian leader does not allow us to preach the gospel where there is such need for gospel. They look down and want us to stop doing outreach to unreached people. They ask me what I have my own material and certificate even they ask us whether we have big organization or a car. They slander us and insult and division us. While we preach “they laugh us” and when we pray they say to us “we are Halleluiah people or Amen people”.

The enemies of gospel and unreached people are no longer overseas or even outside of our church walls. They are right here at home, in our communities and even in our churches. I told my teams, we who support gospel need not fear, we who doing outreach need not fear the leader of Christian, we who preach the redemption of Jesus need not fear. Many time, we wept. The word that they spoke can lead to death, because they are death people, death work.

I encourage my team; we have the truth on our side. Not to despair as we are soldier of Christ. Some time it is not easy for us to stand before big leader, big organization and big people. But if we do not teach the truth and speak the truth, we can be drowned out by the lies. Now is not a time for despair. Now is a time for action.

They stop us, they slander us, they insult us, they division us and they laugh us. How blessed we are!

The opportunity ahead of us in 2014 is historic. We ask that you make a decision today to stand 2014 with us.

Tonight thousands of unreached people in Myanmar will go to bed hungry for food as well as redemption of God, salvation of God, love of God and life of life that we have in only in Jesus Christ. It is a tragedy for those who have suffered so much in the past to be facing hunger now.

Hunger for food as well as spiritually. Your gift today to support The Word Mission will allow us to provide the gospel and meals to so many hungry survivors people of unreached and continue our work to bless the people of unreached people.

There is a great opportunity for us to show God’s love and His redemption to His people if we act right now. It is more important than ever that we do everything possible to bless, encourage, and help the unreached people. And we urgently need your help to make that happen. Together, we can help change that. Your prayer, your gift today will help us increase our efforts to feed hungry people during great time of need. There are so many of these precious people who do not have enough food to eat for spiritually from day to day and the pain of hunger is worse than even before.

I am asking you to be part of this great miracle of love today.

Hunger, poverty, thirsty for the Love of God and Redemption among the unreached people is big problem, and it is getting worse. Your gift of support today for The Word Mission is a vital witness of Christian love to the entire nation of Myanmar. This is no time for us to close our heart, our ears, our hands and our eyes; we must do all that we can to meet this urgent need.

Today there are many village people cannot afford enough food to eat. I am asking you right now to send generous gift so that we can help as many of them as we can.

Will you send a special gift to help feed the hungry of unreached people?

Will you join me in showing them in a real and meaningful way that they are not alone and not forgotten?

I want to help as many people as possible, but we cannot do that without you. I want to preach the salvation of Jesus as many people as possible, but we cannot do that without you.

Will you open your heart to a hungry people in jungle village?

Will you show God’s love to a thirsty people?

Will you help us feed the poor of unreached people this 2014 year?

Your support of The Word Mission today allows us to continue our work in Myanmar, to stand up and speak out for unreached people and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor people living in Myanmar. May I challenge you today to take part in this opportunity to rise up and share God’s love and God’s redemption with those who are so desperately hurting. As a ministry, we are doing everything we can to meet the most urgent needs of the poor. And with your prayers and financial support, we will continue to do just that. Thank you for being willing to step up this year with us and help those in   We need your help to reach children like Shan, Inh, Lahu, Akham with lifesaving relief. Your prayers and gifts can help bring food, clean water and other critical relief to families facing poverty and sickness around Myanmar.

Thank you for your compassion and for giving to help families and communities in their greatest time of need. We are so excited to see how God will work in the lives of children and teenagers as they encounter Jesus Christ in a deeper way this year. Thank you for making a difference.

Plan to join us this 2014 for one our high energy….. a time to share the gospel creatively with English teaching, caring children, doing outreach and so on. Many people addicted to alcohol. We need to help free from their addiction of alcohol. Together, we can change that pain into joy. The work that we are doing to bless the survivors in Myanmar is a testimony to the entire nation and word is spreading.

With your help, we will be able to do even more to meet these urgent needs and bless unreached people.”

I thank my God who has given me authority to preach the gospel to unreached people. Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, and the dark. As a Christian leader I will not be afraid, Jesus will protect me.

Can I count on you? Stay with me, I need you as I am doing outreach to unreached people groups in golden triangle.

To make the motto” Golden Triangle for The Word (Christ)” a reality, full consecration will be required  Ambassadors for unreached people groups

[clear] These Lahu people lives in one of poorest communities in Myanmar where families live in bamboo and stick homes and struggle to overcome hunger, malnourishment and a lack of education. With your help, we are providing an education and daily meals for children and most importantly, we are giving hope to the hopeless by sharing them how much God loves them, sharing meals, clothes and so on. These whole villages believe in demons. Many children of Lahu are not in school. They learn nothing and get marriage at 13 years old age.

Tonight 20 million illiterate children of unreached people will go to bed spiritually hungry. You can help them receive
the bread of life before they die eternally. 4 in 4 children have to work and not go to school.
Thank you for being the lifeline these families need. Your gift can bring much needed food, water, education and other critical poor for children and families around Myanmar fighting hunger and poverty.

[clear] The Inh practice demonism, animism and witchcraft. When we share about Jesus Christ to them, they said, it is the
first time to hear about the word of Jesus Christ. The demonic altar kept in each home is well maintained. The Inh
believe demon as real their god.

We do preaching about Jesus in night. These Inh people work whole day and came to their home in night. We have preached about the love of God to them. We have told how God created us to them. We sing the song of Love of God before these Inh people. They ask us to dance and did dances before them. We have given what we have in our
hand. We have prayed for them for their heart to open for the gospel. But still they reject the power of Gospel. I ask to myself, how can I do for these Inh people to become sons of God.

Praise the Lord with us.
1. We reach 2 villages in this month of March with the salvation of Jesus Christ. 20 houses in one village and
36 houses in another village. There are 100 population in one village and 155 populations in another
village. We do evangelism house to house and share about the salvation of Jesus Christ. We pray for those
who need healing, free from alcohol, slavery from demonic.
2. 13 Inh people have confessed that JESUS is their savior and their Lord and accept as personal their savoir.
It was our living God that open the heart of Inh people as well as so hard to get these Inh people into Christ.
