It is some time since we published up-to-date pictures of the team that serves the Lord with John Middlewood and Maeo at the Christian Mission in the village of Naratchakwai which is located eight kilometres from Nakhon Phanom city, the capital of the Province of the same name in north-eastern Thailand – see map below. Nakhon Phanom city is situated on the western bank of the Mekong River, which forms the boundary between Thailand and Laos at that point.
We hope that these pictures and this information will be helpful for you as you pray for the members of the CMN Team, for their ministries and for those they minister to.
Bee has completed four years at the local university studying to be a teacher of English in the government education system. She is currently doing her fifth, internship year before becoming fully qualified. Ploy, Parn and Lita are studying at High School.
To quote John –
“Pray for Bee, Lita, Ploy and Parn as they lead just about everything. They are all back in school full time now and are carrying a heavy load and doing it willingly. We thank and praise God for that.
All four of these girls have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and they assist with the children’s programs on Saturdays and Sundays, teach English to the younger children and teach Sunday School classes – to quote John once again “Pray that they will have the strength and wisdom to carry the loads they have accepted. They are the leadership team for the Mission. Most of the work they do would be done by adults in other churches. God has blessed us with a dedicated team.”
Bee‘s faith has grown and matured to the extent that she is able and willing to assist John with preaching at Sunday morning services, and she takes presents an address aimed specifically at the younger members of the congregation. Pastor Boonta is the pastor of a small church which is a member of the Christ for all People Churches Association but which now meets with Christian Mission, also gives the address at one Sunday service per month (pictured below right) and also takes an adult’s Bible Class on Sunday mornings. He also does some visitation of families of the children in the village. Maeo’s brother Dtee (pictured at bottom) is convenor of the team of eight who are studying a Bible Correspondence Course and he also assists with many practical duties around the property, as well as assisting with driving children to and from activities.
