Greetings from a wet Thailand.
Praise God and another first for the Christian Mission. I want to thank the Sunshine Church at Deer Isle, Maine for inviting us to visit their church service this last Sunday. It has been 14 years since I have participated in an all English church Service and it was a blessing to be sure. It was great to be able to listen to the music, the sermon and to be able to pray with them.
We had our second Soup of love this month – another nursery that is located in a Buddhist Temple in one of our villages. We will be doing another village nursery on July 23, God willing. There aren’t as many people in the nurseries, so we are praying that we can visit each one of them once a month and still do a senior Soup of Love once a month.
Our Saturday program is still not settled down. These kids are not like the ones we have had in the past. They have very little training in proper behavior, are pretty selfish and self-centered. They are trying the patience of our teen leaders. Please pray for them.
God blessed us Sunday with almost 40 people in attendance, even with the rain so we are thankful for that.
Ploy and Parn have mid-term exams this week so please pray for them. The exams and what the teachers did (didn’t teach) don’t always go together so there is some trauma for the students.
Bee, Jane and Fanta continue their student teaching activities and are learning about the real world. Pray they will hang in there and trust God to take care of things.
Prayer points: Boonta and family. Went to Khon Kaen for follow-up checks and listen to results.
Our leadership team – Bee, Ploy, Parn, Lita. Hope to have information on a Christian Mission Website and Facebook page shortly. Pray God will bring it to fruition and thank God for Ploy and her dedication in doing this kind of stuff.
Pray for John – went in to the local hospital today for x-rays and blood tests. Will get the results on or before Thursday, God willing.
Pray God will open the eyes and hearts of our villagers to him.
Thanks to all of you for your support in prayers and funds and may God continue to bless.
