Sister Ruth Devairakkam, leader of the Advent Christian group in Kluang reported as follows concerning their Christmas activities and concerning their Christmas ministry to a Children’s Home to which they minister…
“On Christmas Day, we had people coming to our home, from morning till evening. They were our Christian and non-Christian friends. We watched Christian VCD’s with them, and served lunch and tea. There were Chinese, Filipinos and Portuguese too. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship.

“Recently, our Advent Christian group in Kluang visited a Children’s Home. Our gift was in cash, towards the needs of the children in this Home. Some of the children are not in the pictures taken. The gift is part of the Christmas funds from ACMissioNZ and Advent Christian friends in New Zealand. The Home thanks ACMissioNZ for the gift. The pictures below were taken at this Home.”
Unfortunately there was sad news for Ruth on the day after Christmas – she wrote…
“My friend, Nellie Foo had been coming to my house for prayer for the past 22 years regularly. She passed away on 26 December, 2013. Three days before she died, she requested me to sing some Christian songs and pray together with her. Her family members requested me to give the eulogy at her Wake Service (pictured). She was laid to rest on 28 December, 2013.”
