tag_thailand_johnIt is Sunday afternoon and things, I think, are starting to settle down. Small in numbers this morning but God acted in a powerful way. Testimonies from Lita, Bee and Kim were God moved and had all of us thinking but for the grace of God….. Personally, I am humbled by these girls when they give their testimonies. When they talk about what their lives have been like up to now, I am ashamed. They have suffered more in their short life – none more than 25 years old – than I have in my 73 years and yet, they have given their lives to Christ And seen miracles worked in their lives and they praise God and give him the glory. Makes me do a lot of thinking.

We have had one girl say she has accepted Christ and would like to be baptized. I am praying this will lead others to come forward also; we will see what God’s plan is for us. Pray for Beem 1, Fanta, Jane and Ning

Dtee is currently enrolled in a Correspondence Bible Course from Bangkok. We talked with 5 of the six girls who are believers about beginning and all five have said yes. Dee has agreed to take responsibility for the program, get the girls all enrolled and monitor their progress. Thank God and I will do nothing but watch the girls grow.

Pray for Kim and Fah. The father of Kim’s baby came with his mother and half of their tribe yesterday and asked to take the baby for the day. They have not brought the baby back yet, and the baby still takes mother’s milk – no food as of yet. Pray God will work a miracle here. When Kim lived with him he refused to let her come to church; he is a drinker and a card player and has not done much to provide for Kim or the baby and refuses to help Kim’s sister with her medical problems and getting to the doctor for medication. Kim will be seeing a lawyer tomorrow.

As we close out the old year and bring in the new, please pray for John, Maeo and Dtee that health issues will not interfere with the ministry here and that the Christian Mission will grow.

Pray that will break the chains that Satan has around the villages here in the northeast; that he will open hearts and minds to the word of God and that these folks will allow his light into their hearts.

Pray for our annual meeting on January 4, 2014. Pray that God will lead and open our hearts and minds to look ahead trusting God to take cre of things and provide what we need. Pray that he will help us take off the blinders and quit trying to put God into a box that we can understand.

We pray that God will bless each of you reading this; we thank you for your support – prayers and everything else – and we pray God will give you the best New Year ever.

Thank you and God Bless, John Maeo, Dtee and all the girls.
