Thanks and praise God for a fantastic Sunday.
God continues to bless and keep us in spite of Satan’s efforts to tear things down. Sunday started out with 53 people in attendance at our service, with several new faces showing up and some old ones. Ning and Jan are our two new first year university students. They moved in last week and will be living here at the Christian Mission. They have not accepted Christ, so please pray for them.
Bee brought on another surprise with a new feature to the worship service – a high school quartet. It will be great hearing from them in the future.
Lunch was enjoyed by all and then the elementary students were taken home. The high school and university students remained for a special English lesson on how to use the verbs to be, to do, to have, by playing cards. The session was supposed to run from 1 to 4 pm, but ended up going until 6 pm because the girls were having so much fun. Dr. J’s team of 6 did a great job teaching our team of 10. They were having so much fun that the session went until 6 pm. After taking them out to eat, it was after 9 pm before we got back home. Great day by all and we thank God for his presence.
Praise and thank God for another first for the Christian Mission. We are the only church in our group that has pure drinking water. Up until now we have had to buy bottled water or 5 gallon tanks of processed water. Currently I know of no village water system around us, including the city of Nakhon Phanom, that has water clean enough in their pipes to be drinkable; and, of course, the bottled water companies are happy to keep it that way.
We will be praying abut and be working on a project to see if we can provide pure drinking water for our other churches in the association. We ask for your prayers also.
Our wish for all for this Christmas Season is that we remember the reason for the season – to celebrate the birth of Christ – and not get sidetracked by all the other stuff going on – and that all will be blessed in the new year with the peace and love of God in their hearts.
God Bless, John, Maeo, Dtee and the Christian Mission girls.
