Thank and praise God for all of you who have been praying for Boonta, Phon and Bow. More pictures later. The family went to visit their village of Laobada yesterday. Phon is up and around a little bit. She has been using a wheel chair – borrowed her daughter’s I think to get around the house. We have provided her with a walker for temporary use until she gets more of her strength back. Boonta and Bow were in church this morning, but Phon stayed home resting. We are praying that she will be back with us next Sunday and would appreciate your prayers for that end also. Both Bow and her mother have medical appointments at the local hospital this week to see how things are with their blood sugar levels. Phon will be going to Khon Kaen for followup at the end of this week or the first part of next week. According to Boonta she is eating regularly and her appetite is increasing. She has not had any headaches since she has returned home, so that is encouraging.
- Phon’s strength will return so she can take care of herself and allow Boonta to return to work part-time so they can have an income again. Pray for the church at Laobada that they will find a home, at least temporarily, at the Christian Mission.
- Pray for the driver – who is not a believer at this point.
- Pray for the youth of the village that they will take advantage of this opportunity to participate with other children in Christian activities.
- Pray for the Christian Mission as we prepare for our Vacation Bible School Oct 22-24. There are currently about 20-25 children who have signed up. We have praying for 50 or so. Satan is doing everything he can to disrupt things. Our high schools all started back two weeks early this year. All of these plans were mad when we were told schools would start the first of November. Two of our girls had to take a week off from school to attend the seminar in Korat and another one is taking a week off this week so she can assist in the VBS. The elementary students start school November 1. Last week was the biggest festival of the year for this part of the country with many, many things to turn kids heads away from God.
