The first established city church of the Philippine Advent Christian Conference calls for a new pastor after the previous resident pastor, Rev. Pablito Molina, tendered his resignation in June.
The church now welcomes Pastor Jess Gawangon, who comes from the Tamboboan Advent Christian Church at Claveria, presently pastored by his father, Manuel Gawangon.
Pastor Jess is a graduate of Oro Bible College (OBC). His first pastoral ministry experience was with the Blessed Hope Christian Fellowship in Cebu City. While shepherding the church, he also was able to upgrade his theological education by enrolling with a renowned institution in the vicinity. Prior to his commitment to serve as Senior Pastor of Maranatha Bible Church, he served as fulltime professor at Oro Bible College. His wife, Amy, works at OBC as a pre-school teacher.
