One birthday down and one to go. My birthday was June 22 and Maeo’s birthday is June 29.
My birthday was celebrated at another English Camp. We thank and praise God for his work and your support in these activities. If there were 6 Saturdays a month, we could to at least 6 English Camps.
Prayers that have been answered: Dr. Jay, a chiropractor by profession, is a volunteer teacher at Sri Koot ta Boon High School. He was in the original group of World Teach teachers that I made arrangements for 3-4 years ago. He liked working with the kids so well that he just stayed on. He has followed the same principal to two or three different schools. After 4-5 years, he has decided to return to the US to see his family during school break in 2014. Please pray that he returns to Thailand after that. Students from his school are an additional blessing to the program.
God has blessed us again in the fact that I received an email from Joe and Sandy Boys – The team spent about 6 months working with us last year have decided they would like to return in October – Spend 6 months here and 6 months in the US. This would be another most valuable addition to the English Camp program and may provide additional leaders for the program and relieve some of my work. Please pray for God’s blessing, that paperwork, funds and all that kind of stuff can be handled quickly, efficiently and be approved.
Pictures below show Dr. Jay at work teaching the teachers; our high school students teaching the elementary kids and the group teaching English.
Prayer points:
- Pray that God will provide strength and wisdom John and Maeo to continue the pace.
- Pray God will bless those teaching in the English Camp and provide them with the knowledge and wisdom to teach; students willing to listen, try, participate and return to their school and teach the younger students at their school. Our camps are limited to 80 students each. The lead principal here decided that he did want to have a camp every 4 months, but wanted one every month. So, for this camp there are four schools combined; each school sends no more than 20 students and we get to the schools once a month. While working on this in the morning, I received a call from the lead principal and he said there was a teacher from another school at this camp and they want to get in on the next camp. I told him, no more than 16 students from each school – 80 is the maximum and he agreed.
Interesting is the fact that this school only has 27 students but there were 15-20 of the parents at the school to prepare a fantastic lunch for us. We are looking forward to working with this school again.
Your prayers are needed and appreciated. Without them we can do nothing and we know it.
God Bless and Keep all of you. Thanks, John, Maeo and the Christian Mission.
