MYANMAR – Testimony of a young Burmese man who wants to be a church planter.

June 8, 2013 Filed Under: Newsletters | Myanmar, Pastor David's News

Pastor David has recently forwarded the testimony of a young man who has recently made contact with him and his Bible College. That testimony is set out below and is indicative of the commitment and longing – the “burning desire” as Brother Justin Noah Ling describes it for himself – of many Christian young men and women in Myanmar to share the Gospel of Life in the Lord Jesus Christ with their people. Please remember that English is not this brother’s native language.

Pastor David’s  Bible College whose vision statement is “TO PREPARE GOD’S PEOPLE FOR WORKS OF HIS SERVICE” (Eph. 4; 12) has 24 students attending this year. In the next two years some of these students will graduate and like Noah Ling, believe the Lord is calling them to go to unreached areas of their country as church planters. Pastor J‘s Word Bible College is also training a number of young men and women who have the same calling from the Lord – to be church planters.

Will you pray with and for these young people to successfully complete their studies to be fully equipped to do what Brother Noah Ling desires to do – “try my best to fulfil the vision that God has

given me.” Please also pray that the Lord will provide the necessary funds to allow these young people to be obedient to the Lord’s call – Pastor David advises that NZ$95 (US$75) per month will allow Noah Ling to begin church planting in the Shan State of Myanmar.

“Personal Testimony of Mr Justin Noah Ling

When I was attending grade 11, I am not a good person for my society and for my family. I was just drinking alcohol and using meaningless things in my life. I disobey my mother and living as I like. After writing grade 11 examination I went back to my native village. After that my mother told me to go seminary at Kinphawng village which was taught by Saya Choai Hung. He gave us Bible verse from the book of Romans 1:16. It is the word of Paul that I am not ashamed of the gospel. As soon as I heard this verse I decided to go Bible College. I start praying for my decision. As my prayer, God sent me to the best college to train His holy word of God in Yangon which is Peniel Bible College and Seminary. I studied the holy word of God for four years then I got B. Th. degree. I was trying my best when I was in Bible College.

I was born again in 2002. As soon as I was born again, I got unspeakable joyfulness in my life. By God’s grace alone, I have an opportunity to study his word in Peniel Bible College and Seminary. By the goodness and faithfulness of God, I got favor from my President and all of the faculty members. I could finish B. Th. Course successfully by the help of God during four years studying his word.

God is keeping safely under the shadow of his wings and blessing me in many ways during four years studying His word. It is uncountable and unspeakable blessing from the Lord. I finished B. Th. course successfully in 2011.  I do believe that God will continuously bless wherever I am.

Now I want to become missionary to unreached area there is no hear the gospel yet. I am going and meet Pastor David who is mission mind in Myanmar. I am praying and discuss with him and he is agree with me and prayer for me to go to SHAN STATE .Influenced by Buddhist. I was happy to read the story of  A. Judson  and inspired  who was the first missionary to Myanmar from USA. It is great blessings and encouraged me to go to the mission field.

Sharing how God is calling me to involve in His ministry or mission field.

First, of all, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to God for giving me this wonderful privilege to involve in His ministry. I do hope that this is the greatest opportunity in my life because serving the Lord or working for the Lord is a blessing. I am so glad and thankful for giving me this wonderful privilege to share how God is calling me to involve and to work in Mission field. I do believe that working for the Lord is a blessing for the believers. God has given me a firm vision to proclaim His good news to unreached. The reason that I want to involve in mission field is that most of people in Myanmar is hungry the salvation knowledge of Jesus Christ. Most of Myanmar people is dead in spiritual and worshipping meaningless things. I have a firm believing that God has chosen me to be his ambassador and to be advertisement. I got and took many examples from the life of Paul the way of his working in mission field and his ministry strategy. Paul had a specific calling to the Gentiles (unreached). He clearly understands his mission and was willing to pursue it under all circumstances even when it meant imprisonment and death. Likewise, God has given me a clear vision to go out and to bear fruit. My principal ambition was to proclaim Christ where no man has gone before. I was uniquely qualified for mission work because I confidence myself that God will help me wherever I am. I am a burning desire to proclaim the good news when I look back the present situation of Myanmar’s people because they are hungry the salvation knowledge of Jesus Christ. They are waiting for us to tell the good news, a liberating one, Christ that has defeated death, Satan and sin.

I do believe that the gospel of the kingdom is a powerful message. God calls everyone to work in mission field. So, I will fulfil what God wants me to do and try my best to fulfil the vision that God has given me. My greatest vision is to serve the Lord faithfully as long as I am living in the world as much as I can. My aim is to bring and to have confidence the people of Myanmar and make them known their afterlife. These are my testimony and my ambition.”
