Myanmar April News

April 23, 2013 Filed Under: Newsletters, Newsletters | Myanmar

Thank the Lord once again, for answered prayer. Brother K was concerned that he may have to cancel the Salvation Camp he had planned. He recently asked us to pray for the “Salvation Camp” which he was planning to hold from 12 April to 20 April. He was expecting about 100 to gather for that camp, including workers and members from three of his branch mission fields. Because of difficulties caused by the unrest between Muslims and Buddhists he felt it unwise to proceed with his camp unless the situation improved greatly

AC Conference President Pastor K reports as follows…

“This is our Good News. During water festival we did salvation camp at our home and there were around 53 people who can come and joined with us. The Camp was started from 12 April to 17 April and 10 of them accepted Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior and Lord and took water baptism on that same day. Please do remember us in your prayer time for our mission work and especially for these new converts as you did before.”

I send you some of our salvation camp pictures and the pictures of some while they were taking water baptism. We, the Salem family and the ACCM are praying for all the donors. On behalf of ACCM, I would like to say thank you to all the donors and prayer group. You are always in our prayer. May the Lord continue to bless you.”

Thank you for praying. God answered your prayers and the camp proceeded, albeit with slightly changed arrangements, and 10 Burmese accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. God is good!!

Pastor T reports…

“I am sending to you about Paul T and the mosquito net project for his village. (“Mosquito Nets” ) Now he is trying to provide for 75 families.

They are very happy for your love and help.”

He sent these pictures…

He also sent up to date pictures of his building project – a dormitory building for the 19 orphans that he and his wife care for. He indicated that the building was about 70% completed at present (22 April). Please pray that he may be able to complete this building before the beginning of the rainy season at the end of May.
