Greetings from Thailand. March was a busy month. Maeo and I were both sick for part of it so things have slowed down a bit.
Lots of different pictures with this letter. Praise God most of our hurricane damage repairs will be labor costs. We have started to enclose the worship center so this kind of damage will not happen again and the awnings from the worship center will be used to replace the ones on the dormitory and the two awnings tore down on the front of the house.
On enclosing the worship center, we are acting on faith and ask that you pray that God will provide the funds to complete the job before the rainy season really arrives. The weather folks here are forecasting a very rough rainy season this year with storms much stronger than in the past. If the first two are any example, then the forecasters are doing a good job. These two storms had the strongest winds I have ever seen and we had more damage than the previous 12 years combined. Lord willing, one side of the worship center will be completed tomorrow and the other side will be completed next week. At this point, 200,000 baht or about $7000 US will be needed to complete the project. Thanks to several people and thanking God, we have about half that in hand right now.
Girl report: Right now, Bee, Lita and Beem 2 are our only permanent residents, however, a younger relative of Bee’s will be moving in on Friday. She is going in to the 10th grade with major problems at home so pray for here.
Some of you old timers may remember Eye and Milk. There is a possibility that they may want to move back in – it is one of the things that I have been praying for. We ask for your prayers for them too. Other than that, we don’t know who will be here come starting of school sometime in May.
Praise and thank God. Surichai, Pon and their two children arrived on Monday, April 1 and getting settled in, so God has provided us with some assistance. This month will be getting to know each other and helping them get to know our villages around here as well as some of the people. Please pray for them that they will find that this is really where God wants them to be. Please pray for me also. This has been pretty much a two person show for the last 10 years – God and I. 🙂
Pray for wisdom for me to get better communication skills and to utilize these two people to the fullest of their abilities. More news on this later a we get a chance to talk more and get to know each other.
Now, it is time for my break and then prayer group. Tomorrow we will have Christmas in March and Easter.
Thanks to all and God Bless. Without all of you, nothing would be here.
John, Maeo and the girls.
