Greetings from Thailand with the latest update. More will follow with pictures.

Lots of excitement this past month. Both Maeo and I have been sick for another week, but thanks to your prayers, we are getting back to a semblance of normal. School is now closed for the summer – until sometime around the end of May for most schools so most of the girls have gone home. At this point we are not sure how many will be coming back. Bee, Lita and Beem 2 are planning on spending the summer here. All three will be involved with concentrated English classes for their personal growth and preparing for a variety of activities during May and onward.

Four of our girls attended a seminar in Khon Kaen this past month and we are looking forward to them putting their new knowledge to work. Bee went on for another week in Chiangmai Province to work with a mountain village for a week

Samaritian’s Purse Christmas Child shoe boxes arrived the end of March and were presented to 100 children on March 31 and April 1. Pictures will follow.

Easter saw about 130 people here at the Christian Mission to celebrate Christ’s rising from the grave. Our small group of girls did a fantastic job at arranging the program and all went well. Christmas Child shoeboxes were distributed after church and then all had lunch.

We had a couple of severe storms through here a couple of weeks ago and we are in the process of assessing the damage and trying to decide which repairs to make. Included in this project is enclosing the worship center. Up until now the sides are open and allows for weather, leaves and all kinds of other stuff to get in, making cleaning up sometimes hard. Our prayer is that we can enclose the worship center with windows so they can be opened and closed. This will prevent the kind of damage from the last two storms.  The weather service is predicting we are in for many more major storms this year. We have begun the project on faith and will be enclosing one side of the worship center beginning on April 3 and will do as much as the current funds will let us do. Please pray that God will find folks that want to help.

Summer Bible camp will be the third or 4th week of April here this year. Discussion is under way as to whether it will be here or another location. It will be a combined activity for the Christ for all People Church Association.

Surichai and Nipon are scheduled to arrive sometime today and we are thanking God for that. A house has been located, about 700 meters from the church, on the main street of the village. The month of April will be spent getting to know each other and setting up plans for the program to start with the new semester. Prayer lit and pictures will follow.

God Bless, John, Maeo and the girls
