This letter covers our combined annual business meeting. This is the first formal meeting for the Christ for all People Church Association. The group is now official and all the paperwork has been processed and will be in place by this weekend. As of today, the group is made up of 5 churches: Nong Khon Kaen Church – about 75 miles from us; Kuseman Church – about 35 miles from us; Kusakoi – about 30 miles from us; Laobada – about 25 km from us; and the Christian Mission of Na Ratchakwai.
All together, my best estimate would be that there are about 50-75 actual members, and an attendance of about 120 combined on Sunday. The Christian Mission and these churches have been working together now for 8 years. The New Tribe’s organization has closed its doors and re-opened as a social-services organization. He five churches and Christian Mission, after lots of prayer and meeting together felt that it was important to set up our own organization so that we would not be controlled from someone outside.
Our prayer is, now that we are one organization, we will be much better able to support our believers and provide what is needed to spread God’s word in this part of Thailand. Currently we have churches in 3 different provinces so it will be interesting to see what happens.
God willing, and with approval of the Evangelical Fellowship of Thailand, church number 6 will join us after the first of the year. You will see that church in the next newsletter.
This has been quite a year for the Christian Mission, and we pray, that with God’s help and yours too we can continue to grow and serve more people.
Our English Camp outreach conducted about 20 Saturday English Camps in 2012, and is planning and praying for 30 in 2013. More on that later
Prayer points for this letter:
- Our new organization will grow in size, dedication, action and activities in 2013.
- Pray for the leadership of the group and individual churches that the leaders and members will be ready, able and willing to spread God’ word in Northeast Thailand.
- Pray for health, strength and wisdom for John and Maeo
