John Middlewood writes about an answer to prayer and a prayer of Thanks to God for his answer
Saturday afternoon, October 20 I met with Toom, Jaeub and Pan separately to talk with them about their position with Christ. To be honest, the answer I got from them surprised me and almost gave me a heart attack from joy.
All three stated that they have accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour, but were too bashful to say anything.
All three have talked to their family but the family will not let them be baptized at this point. We now have Ploy, Bpun, Lita, Toom, Jaeub and Pan and Beem 2.
Thank God for answering one of my prayers since the girls arrived here – some of the three years ago. We ask for prayer that the parents and relatives will see the light of Christ in these girls and give their permission for the girls to be baptized. The situation as it is now makes it very difficult for the girls. Jeaub has permission from mother and has moved in permanently. Toom would like to move in very, very badly, but grandmother will not allow it. Says Toom needs to be at home to take care of her.
On the down side, a few weeks ago Been 1, not a believer and younger sister of Bpun moved out and back home. This week Beem 2, who is a believer. moved back home at mother’s request. Tat who is not a believer, moved out on her own choice.
At this point, all of the girls living here have accepted Christ and are participating in our daily prayer service. Pray for strength and wisdom for them in the face of all the problems they will be facing. Pray for widom and strength for me as I work to teach then and help them grow strong. Pray for them as they begin to work together.
Update on baby Bleum. Saw Grandpa today. Baby is doing better but they are still being very careful because of his susceptibility to a wide range of virus’s and infections. Thanks for the continued prayers. We see them working here every day.
Thanks and God Bless, John, Maeo
