Reniel M. Comajeg ( the Academic Dean of ORO Bible College) reports that has had trouble with nose bleeds. He went to have tests:
I had fasted for 11 hours (no water and food) starting on Wednesday evening and on Thursday morning I went through a series of test (Resting Electrocardiogram (ECG), Whole Abdomen Ultrasound, Chest X-ray, Serum Creatinine, Blood Urea Nitrogen, Blood Uric Acid, Fasting Blood Sugar, Routine Fecalysis, Routine Urinalysis, Complete Blood Test, Liver profile, and Lipid Profile. On Friday lunchtime I went back to the doctor after receiving all my results.
Here’s what the doctor told me after looking at my results. I have a Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) and Dyslipidemia.
Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis or NASH is often “silent” liver disease. It resembles alcoholic liver disease, but occurs in people who drink little or no alcohol. The major feature in NASH is fat in the liver, along with inflammation and damage. Most people with NASH feel well and are not aware that they have a liver problem. Nevertheless, NASH can be severe and can lead to cirrhosis, in which the liver is permanently damaged and scarred and no longer able to work properly. NASH is usually a silent disease with few or no symptoms. Patients generally feel well in the early stages and only begin to have symptoms—such as fatigue, weight loss, and weakness—once the disease is more advanced or cirrhosis develops.
I started taking medicines last night and it will go for the next 30 days. Then after that I will go through a series of tests again.I am not allowed to eat any pork, beef, and chicken meat, beans, eggplant, okra, sardines, shellfish, nuts (peanuts, peas and cashew), chicken gizzard and liver, gravies and any salt water fish and etc.”
Please pray for healing for Reniel. Pray also for the finances to meet these additional medical costs. Reniel will not be able to meet these expenses out of his basic salary.
