The LORD continues to bless the ministries of the churches of the Advent Christian Conference of India (ACCI) and the Fellowship of Blessed Hope Churches (FBHC) in India. Mission Manager Immanuel has attended or received reports of the following baptismal services taking place in the last few weeks. In both cases the Mission has provided new Bibles for each of those baptised.
On Sunday 15 April, at the ACCI church at Old Pallavaram, 19 persons were baptised.
This church was started in 1942 and the new church building (pictured below left) was dedicated in 2004. The present Pastor is Rev Jeeva Kiruban and he advises that the present congregation numbers 247 families or around 800 members.
On the same Sunday, 15 April, the FBHC church at Teynampet (pictured below left), which is situated and ministers in a slum area of central Chennai, also had the joy of seeing 9 of their members being baptised. The church presently has 75 families or about 200 members and is pastored by Rev Regi Christopher (Pictured below right centre with his wife Grace to his left at rear)
Please join with those congregations in thanking the LORD for these new brothers and sisters, and pray that they will grow in grace and the knowledge of their Saviour.
