Pastor D from the Advent Christian Conference of Myanmar reports as follows concerning his July/August ministries…

Literature ministry & village church

All children could not read English. But God grants us advantage to translate booklets into Burmese. Literature is important to know God more and more. Furthermore, by reading biblical books they enlarge their Bible knowledge to draw nearer and nearer in their daily lives. We give thanks God for this kind of literature. Nothing can hinder children to read books as we have Burmese translation booklets.  They love reading coloring books. Sometimes, they read it again and again as they devote their lives. One said, ‘This coloring book attracts me to read again and again’. By reading these booklets some received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Buddhist Children can be brought together in a place by teaching acting songs. They enjoy singing biblical songs. It is never heard in their community before. But we planted a small Church in remote area. A Sunday school teachers use interesting games and songs for children. Even though, sometimes, they are hindered by parents, some children requested their parents to attend and learn songs at church. Now, some accept Christ as their personal Savior. We thank God so much for this successful Sunday school ministry.

Next, some parents come to Church for pick them up to home, they were told His message as well.  This reason, a missionary conducted camp for Buddhists. Some clearly understood What Christian is. Most Burmese people view that Christian Religion is Foreign Religion. By doing that camp, they realized that Christian is not a foreign religion, but believing God who creates all things in the world. Three mothers came to Christ and accepted God as their personal Savior.

Dai Community Fellowship

In the past years it is impossible to get distinctions in Exam for Dais. There is no way to gather together in the city of (place name deleted for security) for Dai (an ethnic group) God opens our hearts and minds to know that He is King of kings. As I am a leader of this Dai Community Fellowship in (place name deleted), we celebrated Fresher Welcome at (name deleted) Church. By the grace of God, He opens the door for Dai tribe which was known as an unreached area in the past. Fortunately, God prepares a way for Dais recently to have a chance to organize (name deleted) Dai Community. Now we really give thanks the Lord and praise God for doing great things for Dais.

What’s more, again, we thank God for Dais who passed Matriculation Examination with Distinctions. A girl got four distinctions and one boy 2 distinctions and another boy one distinction out of six subjects. We honored, prayed for them and gave certificate for passing Matriculation Exam. Finally, they testified that it is God’s grace and mercy upon us. Therefore, He helps us to do our exam very well.

Children’s ministry

She lost her mother and was hopeless in education in the past. But God prepared a way to have a place for education in our Partner Orphanage Home. As she attended Public High School and passed her exam in this year June, now, she decided to take part in serving the Lord by teaching again her orphan friends in turn. She enjoys learning His Word at Myanmar Bible School. Unfortunately, she needs financial aid for her four-year-learning at MBS. It is believed that God will show a way to have help for her studies as she always looks the Lord in prayer

Victory Lighthouse Children are superintended to study hard their lessons or assignments every night. We praise God for children is that they have a willing mind to study their respective subjects every night without telling again and again for their study hour. They are very smart and alright till today

Myanmar Bible School update

As Myanmar Bible School aims at equipping to youths to stand for His message in our country, young boys and girls were coming to devote to studying the Bible at MBS. They are being prepared to go for outreach after the rainy season ends.

They give thanks to God with a grateful heart for getting privilege to learn His Holy Word as the college provides food. Most students cannot pay their messing fee. By this, they praise God for this chance and pray for people who support them and give a chance to learn by financial aid.

They didn’t have an opportunity to attend Bible School in the past time. Some walked by time-wasting in their lives. On the other hand, some want to study God’s Word, but they didn’t know where to attend Bible School. In addition, some are eager to learn His Word, but they face financial assistance because their family is struggling for their daily living. It is the very problem to every student.

In the past time he spent his life drinking alcohol without knowing anything in his life. In 2010 he was converted by teaching of Rev. (name deleted for security). At the beginning he doesn’t have any knowledge. By God’s mercy he came to know Christ as personal Savior. Now God opens the door for him to come to our Bible School.  His name is Mr. (name deleted) who is a B.Th first year student from (name deleted) State. He says, “I enjoy learning His Word in Bible School and improve lots of Bible knowledge, and then I realize that it is integral to study the Word of God diligently’’. Adding, I am sorry for not knowing about God early.” But he has a privilege to progress more and more.  He praise God for sending him in Bible College

Note from Ernie Schache – We have many great pictures to accompany this report, but we cannot publish most of them for security reasons. It “hurts” me to have to blur the faces of those we do publish as it hides the lovely, smiling faces of these vibrant Christians. If you would like to see pictures for your own use or for use in your church, on the understanding that they are not to be published in any form, please contact me at ernie.schache@acmissionz.org.nz.
