I recently asked Pastor J, chairman of the Advent Christian Conference of Myanmar, the following question, referring to the general elections which were held in Myanmar in November 2010.
“Some of those I have met with have asked what has happened in your country since the recent elections – can you please give me a few comments about what has happened? Has it made any obvious difference to the way the country is being ruled and has it improved anything as far as the people are concerned?”
His reply was as follows….
“In our land there is the same situation and the same people that rule to our country. We need to pray hard to the Lord, otherwise may be worst than before. Our nation needs Jesus and our prayer support.
Thank you for your heart for my family and our nations.
Let God lead us continuously for his glory.”
Please continue to pray regularly for the restoration of true democracy in Myanmar. Please also pray for the ministries of AC Conference leaders and their organisations, and for all Christians who minister in the country, often under significant pressure and difficulties.
