A recent report from John Middlewood in Naratchakwai …..
“Medical assistance.
Here are two more little ones that just came out of the woodwork last week. Weerapong has asthma and I don’t know all what else yet. We provide funds for transportation, lodging and food for the parents to take their child, in this case, Ubon to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment. The medical treatment itself is free, but if the parents can’t get their child there, then they don’t get treatment.
The second little one is Dong Gla. He has heart problems and is in Khon Kaen right now being diagnosed and we will find out what will be needed to follow. Each trip costs between 1000-2000 baht (1000 baht = NZ$40, US$33) and between the Christian Mission and the Thai Lao Cambodia Brotherhood, there are probably 15 or so kids living today that might not have made it. Most of this work is done by TLCB, but I manage the program and the Christian Mission has helped in cases where the child might not qualify under TLCB guidelines.”
Please pray for healing for these children and peace of heart for their families. Please also pray for John and Maeo as they seek to minister to those in need in this way.
