Greetings from Thailand. I apologize for being so far behind in my work. It doesn’t seem possible that it is almost 2 months since I have sent out a newsletter. I will try to break this thing up into 2 or 3 short letters rather than one long one.
Church activities have been pretty much normal, with regular activities for all children and teens on Saturday. The program starts about 8 am and usually goes until 3-4 pm with lunch thrown in. Since we only have two adult members that are active now, our teens and children make up the worship service on Sunday. They practice their choir songs and group songs on Saturday, along with Bible study, English classes and time for games. The Sunday morning service is conducted entirely by our youth, with the exception of the sermon. Our two interns and I take turns with the preaching, so that load has been lifted a bit from me.
Both Maeo and I were under the weather for a couple of weeks, so that has slowed things down a bit. God willing, we are back to normal again. We continue to have our Mission Prayer group meetings Mon-Fri at 7 am with normal attendance of 5 people. We continue to participate in the monthly group prayer meetings with New Tribes Missions and we are uniting in our Sunday services every other month. These meetings have proved to be of great blessing and encouragement for us here at the mission.
June 10-11 we had a youth meeting – 3 hours Friday night and 6 hours on Saturday for our teens. ”Walk Thru The Bible Old Testament” . One of our interns moderated the program and Dr. Larry Dinkins, OMF provided the material through video. The New Testament will be presented in August or September. There were 16 teens that attended.
