Greetings from Nakhon Phanom. I have nothing earth shattering this time around to share. I just realized that many of you who get my newsletter haven’t seen much of the place here, so I thought I would share a bit with you this time. The narrative is here and you can match the pictures up with the narrative.

We are now in the cow business. I don’t know what order the pictures are in, but the one marked “our newest addition”, is a young bull calf. He was born 4-5 months ago. Then Maeo decided she wanted a little one, so we got another baby. We had it for one day and had to bring in the mother too. See the photo “Mom and baby 1”. After a few weeks, Tom and Kip ( they live with us and are Maeo’s nephew and niece), along with their son, Poo Pup decided they would like to try raising cows too, so two days ago we got another mother and baby. Our herd is now up to five.
A few weeks ago we picked up a pair of geese – supposedly both female, but guess what? 🙂 . It won’t be long and, God willing, we will have 8-10 little ones running around loose.
Not to be outdone, we just picked up 100 baby ducks. So in about 3 months we will be eating and selling ducks again.
We have also started a new project, raising food. We have mushrooms growing inside, and, again, God willing, we have been cutting back all of our trees, so we have mushrooms growing outside too. The kids love to eat them, so it cuts down a bit on the food bill. 🙂
Our boar got bitten by a snake a few weeks ago and died, but not before he had performed his duties so we have also an expecting piglets as part of our farm. We are also going to see if we can raise our own Thanksgiving dinner for November. We are praying that she may lay a few eggs and hatch some before she is guest of honor at dinner.
Below you see our cow cart in the beginnings of our museum. We are praying that we can train our cows ( won’t that be fun?!) – To pull the thing and maybe bring it out for special occasions.
Just for fun, I also picked up a pair of guinea fowl – just for show.
Below is also a picture of where our 7 girls are living at the moment.
Last, what is left of our garden – back to planting more?
Thanks to all of you who provide prayer support and those of you that provide financial support also. You will never know, and sometimes I don’t know either, who we help and in whom we plant the seed that someone else will water and bring to harvest. God has blessed us for 8 years now, and we continue to make a difference, but on only because of your prayers, God’s grace and his strength and power.
God Bless, John and Maeo and all at the Christian Mission
