The following email message was recently received from Pastor D in Myanmar
“Dear Brother Ernie,
Greetings in Jesus name from Yangon Myanmar.
We hope you and ministry are going well with you.
By the grace of God we all are fine and ministry are going well.
All of my co-workers, family and orphans children also well and healthy.I am so happy to send my ministry report to you in the new year of 2011.
And we want to say a big “THANK YOU!” to everyone who contributed to
our ministry with financially and prayerfully throughout the year of
2010.Please continue help us in your prayer and financial for our ministry
to increase his kingdom and to fulfill the great commission of Jesus
Christ here in Myanmar. Many lost soul are crying and waiting for
saving in Myanmar.

With his message came the following reports about recent activities…
WHO was involved?
Ten people including two Buddhist gentlemen totally committed to their lives to Christ were baptized in our Church.
WHAT happened?
They are convinced that there is no salvation except the Lord Jesus Christ in this world and then they accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior from the bondage of sins.
WHERE did the event or program take place?
It was taken place in (name deleted for security) township, (name deleted) Division, Myanmar.
WHEN did the event take place?
It was taken place on Sunday, January 2, 2011.
WHY the event is newsworthy?
People were very excited about hearing the love of God and it is wonderful news for unbelievers.
HOW the event can touch the reader?
The event can make the hearers understood that they should make a decision to follow the steps of Jesus Christ as these people do. We have new members for expanding the kingdom of God in our mission.
WHO was involved?
Our Church members were involved in Christmas celebration, and our missionary, (name withheld for security) led the celebration of the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ. Buddhists people were invited to join with us in the occasion of Christmas, and then they were told about the born of Christ and the purpose for His coming.
WHAT happened?
People from Buddhists heard the Good News of Jesus Christ and knew that Jesus Christ came to the earth for sinners and the meaning of Christmas.
WHERE did the event or program take place?
These were taken place in two areas: one is in (name deleted) Town, Another is in (name deleted) township.
WHEN did the event take place?
These were taken place on Saturday, December 25, 2010 and Sunday, December 26, 2010.
WHY the event is newsworthy?
Many people were coming and hearing the meaning of Christmas and the reason why we in the world celebrate the the birth of Jesus Christ. In other words, it is very clear that He is living and alive. It made unbelievers realized that He is not a dead person but a living Lord as they see Jesus Christ was died on the cross. And then we provided food to them.
HOW the event can touch the reader?
This event made unbelievers understood that Jesus Christ is not for Christians but for all people in the world. They went back home by knowing the essence of Christmas and how Jesus did for sinners. This occasion made them known our warmly welcome.
We have a small literature ministry in our mission. Our believers were involved in distributing Christian tracts and booklets to unbelievers: viz. unbeliever children and adults. They were enjoyed reading tracts and booklets which were distributed in (name deleted) township, on the way to Delta Area on the ship, the ship worker was received tract and villages in (name deleted) township during Christmas season outreach trip. Many people were known about the meaning and the essence of Christmas and the coming of Jesus Christ for saving the sinners from the bondage of sins. Children enjoyed receiving booklets in which Bible stories included. It is one way of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to Buddhists through literature.
Our missions team went to outreach to Buddhist village in (name deleted) Township and celebration Christmas and shared the about Jesus coming to save the sinners on the earth. We sang Christmas song and they were happy to hear the good song from our team. And we gave a small special gift to every child in there. Many of Buddhist people heard about Jesus was come to the world to save the sinner. We offered special food to them and they were so happy and enjoyful with having food. Many people knew about the meaning and the essence of Christmas and the coming of Jesus Christ for saving the sinners in the world. They invite us to come and share more about Jesus Christ in this Buddhist village .It is great for us to share the good news of Jesus Christ among the Buddhist people in village.
Our Mission team was involved in Widow ministry in (name deleted) township, (name deleted) village, (name deleted) Division. We offered special Christmas gifts to every widow in December. Most of them came from Buddhist background. Some widows, the first time, heard of Jesus Christ and the meaning and the birth of Jesus Christ to the world. Widows were encouraged by preaching from the Bible telling that God valued them even though there is no one who cares them. We gave encouragement to them to take refuge in God knowing our situation. After the service, at first, we prayed for them and next they were provided special food. They enjoyed having food and receiving gift which was never experienced in their lives before. Secondly, we are involved in orphanage ministry. We gave them a new cloth each orphan for going to picnic at (name deleted) Park in the second week of December. They were happy for having new cloth and food and going picnic. We presented special Christmas gift to every orphan. All of them were joyful in this occasion in their lives since they never experienced before. ‘Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world’. James 1:27)
