Late in 2010 a very generous donor in New Zealand designated significant gifts to be used for the children and orphans who are cared for by many of our ministries in Asia. The funds were shared between India, Thailand and Myanmar and were remitted in time to be used to give hundreds of children some extra joy as they celebrated the first advent of the Lord Jesus Christ at Christmas.
Below is a report and pictures received from The Good Samaritan Trust in Chennai, which is one of the partners of our Indian ministry – Yesuway Jeevan Mission.
The Managing Trustee, Rev John Mathew wrote…
“Praise the Lord!
On 19th Dec Sunday we conducted Christmas programme for our children; more than 200 children with their parents attended for the function. We conducted games for the children as well as their parents and distributed prizes for themDr Parha Sarraty from Ambattur was our chief guest and even he conducted some magic programme and puppet show to deliver the message of Birth of Jesus Christ.
We received 5,000 rupees gift from Yesuway Jeevan Mission for our special programme with that we conducted programme
On 25th Dec on Christmas day we distributed 25,000 gospel packets in and about Velachery and Guindy area. 190 brothers participated in that programme.
