INDIA: Please keep Mission Manager Immanuel and his wife Rani in your prayers in early January as they have a holiday break after what has been a very stressful year for them. Pray that there will be no crises while they are away. Pray also for the person “holding the fort” while they are away.
INDIA: Please continue to pray in regard to the legal actions brought against the Mission and some FBHC officers by rebel FBHC “pastors” and in regard to an appeal lodged by the Mission after an unfavourable decision. The Court/justice system in India works very slowly and often corruptly!
SSE Asia: Praise the Lord for a very generous donor in NZ who is giving substantial, monthly gifts to be used to help underprivileged children in India, Thailand and Myanmar. Substantial amounts were remitted in time to give children in all three countries extra help/treats for Christmas Pray that the recipients in those countries will use the funds wisely in their ministries.
INDIA: Continue to pray for the sale of the Mission/Conference land at Guindy. There have been several enquirers who have come very close to closing a deal and there are some more very interested enquirers right now. Pray especially for the Conference leadership as there are some who are putting persona, financial ambition ahead of what is best for the organisation.
THAILAND: ACMissioNZ is planning a Work/Ministry/English Teaching TEAM to go to Naratchakwai, North East Thailand in late December – early January 2012. Pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of those He wants to be part of that TEAM which will support John and Maeo’s ministries in several exciting ways. We are hoping that many Parent/Child duos/groups will join the TEAM
THAILAND: Please pray for Amporn, a teenage girl who committed her life to the Lord early in 2010. Her Buddhist parents have removed her from John and Maeo’s home where she was living in order to attend school and participate in a special English Program, and have forbidden her to be involved in Christian activities. Pray that Amporn’s faith and commitment will remain strong and that her parents will be touched by the Lord to both allow her to attend the Christian Mission Naratchakwai and to follow her in her faith.
MYANMAR: Praise the Lord for many village ministries to children being carried out by the Advent Christian Conference of Myanmar churches, and that in many cases numbers of children from Buddhist homes are attending. Pray that the Lord will touch the lives of some of these children to bring them to faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for safety for the AC workers who are carrying out these ministries.
MYANMAR: Continue to pray that true democracy may come for the people of Myanmar. Praise the Lord for our Advent Christian Conference leaders and their ministries. Pastor T recently commented “I would like you to know we are doing great things for His Church, … one day we can send missionaries to other countries. But now we need your prayer and support because of our country’s situation.”
