Dear Supporters and friends
Once again I thank God for you all and thank you for your continued support for the work in the Philippines. May our God continue to bless you day by day.
ORO BIBLE COLLEGE. Over September 16 & 17th was the 40th Foundation Celebration for the college. The guest speaker was Pastor Pablito Molina who is the recently appointed Pastor of Maranatha Bible Church (next door to OBC). The theme was “God Reigns Over History”. As well the spiritual activities there were sports competitions and games between alumni and present students and plenty of time for renewing of friendships and sharing experiences. The Alumni association appointed the following people to be the new officers; Ptr. Pablito Molina is the President, Ptr. Jesse Gawangon is the Vice President , Reniel Comajeg is the Secretary, Margie Colot is the Treasurer and Billy Comahig is the new Publicity and Information Officer. Mm Nely Gamayon wrote “the event was successful. The 40th foundation anniversary went very well, thanks to God for the strength, guidance and provision for the students, faculty and staff , and the alumni. Billy who is the coordinator for co-curricular and promotions did well in heading the program.
Although some of the alumni who attended the pastors’ retreat did not come back for foundation celebrations, still alumni attendance and cooperation was good.”

OBC final exams for the semester will be October 13-15. Interns should be back by October 11th. The semestral break is the next two remaining weeks of October.
BPACCI. Earlier in September Pastor Rick Qualls from Bellingham, Seattle, USA, conducted the annual pastors’ retreat. This was held at Seaside Camp, which is a Christian Camp a short way out of CDO. Most of the AC pastors were able to attend by the sponsorship of Rick Qualls’ own church. These seminars have been held over the last several years. The last Sunday of October, 31st, is the 3rd Joint Worship of the Macajalar District to be held at MBC Cagayan.
PASTOR ROY ROCHA. (Manila) Pastor Roy writes “New Life in Christ exists to participate in fulfilling the mandate of Christ in making disciples in our generation and the generation to come. We are envisioning community transformation. Therefore, we aim to “Transforming lives, transforming families, transforming the church by making Christ disciples for the glory of God.” In order to fulfil such a dream we started reaching the kids in our community as a bridge in reaching their families. NLCM offers various activities that meet the need of child development both academically, socially, and most of all spiritually. In academic development is where we offer tutorial classes such as reading and writing for ages 4-6 years old; Math, Science, and English for all ages. In Social development program, we allow kids to enjoy team work in games, singing, and tambourine dancing. And the most important part is the spiritual development where we use the “Faith grower Curriculum” of Christian Strengthening Ministry. We integrate Christian values in all those activities believing that the things we taught them can make a big difference in their family and our community.
Our prayer request: Because of the limited resources we have as we are still recovering from the devastation brought by the flood last September 26, 2010, we only provided school materials for 40 kids. Each kid receives an envelope/packet of school materials like crayons, bond paper, coloured paper, writing pad, pencil/ball pen, glue/paste, and scissors for them to use in their activities. Each packet/envelope costs 50 pesos but the Lord gave us 105 kids each Sunday to minister to. We are inviting people who have heart for the kids to partner with us in this great opportunity in bringing kids to Christ.”

PASTOR BENJIE RAGAS. (Macanhan, CDO) Pastor Benjie reports that the ministry is still going well although some of his work is hindered by not having the use of a motorbike any more since the one he shared with Rustom Marquino was stolen. Benjie is investigating some sideline business opportunities to fund the purchase of another bike. Pastor Benjie now has his own accommodation which will give him some privacy, (he used to sleep in the church), and maybe a place to study. The room is only one metre wide and about five or six metres long.
PASTORS RENIEL COMAJEG AND JONATHAN NAVACILLA. Both Pastors Reniel and Jonathan will be undertaking study at CGST during the October semester break commencing October 11th for two weeks. This will be an intensive course towards their Masters degrees.

MALITBOG AND IDAHAG. Each of these congregations is having to find alternative accommodation in which to hold their services. The house in which the Malitbog congregation met has been sold and so they have been meeting in each other’s homes while the Indahag congregation has until March or April to find somewhere else to worship.
