INDIA: Please continue to pray for what has developed into a major split within the Fellowship of Blessed Hope Churches. Pray for wisdom and patience for the new leaders elected late last month and for the 9 loyal pastors and 1 Bible Woman who remain. Pray that the 13 “rebels” might realise that what they are doing is bringing great dishonour to the Name of the Lord they purport to serve. Pray that their hearts and actions may be changed.
INDIA: The agreement between the Mission and the AC Conference concerning the sale of land at Guindy was signed in Colombo in early July and we are currently seeking the right buyer for the land. A very large sum is involved and a total cash transaction is needed. Please pray for the Lord’s wisdom for those involved in making the decision.
INDIA: Please continue to pray for Mission Manager Immanuel and the Mission staff at Guindy and all their families. There has been much pressure during recent weeks and many disruptions. Pray for the Lord’s peace and power and protection for them all.
INDIA: New Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Committee, Faith and Order Committee and Trust Board members will have been elected in the AC Conference of India by the time you read this. Please pray for wisdom and integrity for them as they begin their 2 year terms of service.
MYANMAR: AC Conference of Myanmar leaders advise that some of the orphan children they are caring for are suffering from Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever – a very serious disease. Please pray for the Lord’s keeping and healing Hand on the sick little ones and the provision of the right care by those with the responsibility of treating them.
MYANMAR: Praise the Lord that a group of WH&FMS ladies in the United States has taken on the funding of water supply for our folk in Myanmar as their project. One bore well has already been drilled and our folk are enjoying good supplies of good water. In the true Christian spirit, they are reaching out and sharing the water and their blessing from the Lord with their Buddhist neighbours.
THAILAND: Rejoice with John and Maeo Middlewood that three of their “daughters” who they are looking after this year as they study have professed faith in Jesus Christ and are seeking baptism and membership of the church. Pray for other young people considering their eternal futures and who face considerable pressure from family and peers.
