Greetings to all of you as you continue to support the work of the Advent Christian Conference and Oro Bible College in the Philippines. Thank you, and we seek God’s blessing upon you as you seek God’s blessing for us.
PASTOR JONATHAN NAVACILLA (Banilad, Cebu) has commenced another year of study and although very busy with pastoral duties and four subjects at CGST, he is doing well. Pastor Jonathan is now responsible for liaison for the Kinder parents. This requires him to be present at least at the beginning and end of most Kinder sessions, when he is able, in addition to his other tasks. Pastor Jonathan has also been able to have some alterations made in the parsonage to give him extra space for his living and bedroom accommodation. He is very thankful for this extra space.

PASTOR BENJIE RAGAS (Macanhan, CDO) says “please continue praying for us, for expansion of our ministry, today most of the youth are very active in the ministry, our youth praying for the extension for our church. We need more chairs and roof repair of our church and ceiling.” He also says “The motorbike was been carnapped last june 9 in the evening were Rustom park at the divisoria. Please pray for the restoration of that bike. Carnapping is very ramphant here,I think there are 4 motorbike has been carnapped a day according to the police record.” and then later “particularly we were planning for a baptism. Please continue to pray for me and also for my ministry. I thank the Lord for His work of our two family bible study contact because they are started attending our church service three week ago. And also include of your prayers about our plan in doing house to house evangelism.”
PASTOR RENIEL COMAJEG (CDO) has decided, in discussion with Mm Nely Gamayon, not to teach at OBC this semester but will instead assist with worship leading and training and undertake preaching as requested. He will continue with the correspondence subject he is doing with CGST.
PASTOR BAGUIO (Tagoloan) Please pray for Pastor Baguio as he mourns the loss of his wife, Celsa, for whom we prayed last time. Celsa Baguio passed away at the beginning of June after an illness of just a few weeks. Pray for the congregation members also, as they adjust to this situation and take their part in filling the tasks which Sis. Celsa used to do.
PASTOR ROY ROCHA (Novaliches, Manila) reports “its been raining here every afternoon. as i have said when there is continues rain, it destroys our internet connection, even my wireless is not connecting well. i have to wait for the technician to come on Thursday. i am just lucky this time at around 12:45 am, i got connection. im sure in the morning it will be gone again. i am not able to sleep cause i received a news that one of my member in the Apocar Advent fellowship passed away around 12 am today. since my return from Tagoloan, i already had two burial services in our church. just last Sunday was the second, now this would be the third. in my family in Tagoloan, three deaths already. i dont know what is this. pray for me for strenght and wisdom to understand what is God’s message to me or to us.” Internet connections are important as students need them for research purposes.
Showing the updated interior of NEW LIFE IN CHRIST MINISTRY, Pastor Roy’s church, and some of the children participating in a service. Pastor Roy’s youngest son, Peniel, is in orange T shirt.
Pastor Roy specifically wrote the following for this “Update” Although Roy gave me permission to correct the grammar I have decided not to, it is just as he wrote. ”i thank god to all those who keep on praying for me, my family, and ministry. God is good all the time! your partnership in prayer keeps us going in the ministry. i am so excited of what God has been doing so far in my ministry this time because the church is experiencing “new life” since we made changes in our approach to ministry. our first changes was making the church as in the church planting stage so that we will keep on growing. then we have a new name: NEW LIFE IN CHRIST MINISTRY is committed to “transforming lives, transforming families, transforming the church, by making disciples for the glory of God”. we also change the time of our worship service from the traditional 10-12 am. to 6-8 am. then Sunday School is from 8:30-10:30 for all age level. then at 2:30-4:00 is youth discipleship. with this move, we are experiencing “NEWNESS” and “FRESHNESS” of God’s touch in our lives.
with our vision to life transformation, we are offering “TUTORIAL CLASS” for all grade levels among the kids in our community. it will be a 3 hrs. class wherein the kids will be taught christian values, help them enhance reading and writing skills, and help out in their assignments. the church have qualified teachers to do such activity. with this we would like to ask for your prayers for God’s wisdom, good health for me and the teaching staff, and provision to cover teaching materials so that the class will be worthwhile. thank you!”
