India
- Pray for the Yesuway Jeevan Mission (AAM) staff at Guindy, led byMission Manager Immanuel. Pray especially for Driver Raja who is experiencing severe knee pain as result of an old injury from many years ago. He has also been diagnosed as a diabetic and treatment for this is not as readily available and as comprehensive as it is here in NZ.
- Continue to pray for the successful leasing of the Mission and AC Conference land at Guindy. There are some new possibilities for this being discussed at present. Completion of these leases will bring much needed finance for the Conference and extra income for the Mission to be used in helping the underprivileged.
- Pray for financial discipline within the leadership of the AC Conference of India. Their present financial situation, caused to some extent by the worldwide credit crisis, is causing great pressures on their ministries and pastors. In particular, their two hostels which care for more than 300 children, are not receiving sufficient funds to look after the children properly.
Thailand
- Praise the Lord for 10 adult teachers from an organisation in the United States known as World Teach, who have arrived to spend a year teaching English at schools in the area around the Christian Mission Naratchakwai‘s compound. This programme has been arranged by our AC missionary there – John Middlewood. Pray for John as he has many extra responsibilities looking after these visitors.
- Pray for arrangements being made for a young married couple from the United States to come in 2010 and serve as career missionaries with John and Maeo Middlewood at the Christian Mission Naratchakwai. Pray concerning visas, and suitable accommodation and for their ability to learn the Thai language. They have already begun learning the language.
Myanmar
- Praise the Lord that Pastor X reports that he has moved to a new area and is continuing his ministry and has re-opened his Bible College after considerable persecution from the authorities in recent months. Thank the Lord for His answers to our prayers about this situation over recent months.
- Pray for the leaders and workers and members of the four groups which make up the ACCM. Their ministries continue in spite of great persecution from the authorities and they regularly report that many are coming to know the Lord as Saviour. Pray especially for Pastor D who has just been elected to the position of President of the conference.
Malaysia
- Pray for the leaders of the AC ministry in Malaysia – Ruth Devairakkam and her husband Wilfred at Kluang.
